In 2013, manpower quantity at Novovoronezh NPP-2 site is planned to be increased from 4,700 to 6,000 pax. This was mentioned at the meeting of Operations HQ for NVO NPP-2 construction.
The subject of this meeting was construction and installation progress at NVO NPP-2 facilities, as well as issues of equipment deliveries which are still coming to the plant. Just so, in March 2013, PIK-TRANSPORT transported two HP chamber-type heaters (PVD K-5) with dimensions 12,600 x 3,710 x 3,900 mm weighing 137.5 tons, and a second stage superheater with parameters 9,237 x 4,060 x 4,500 mm and weight of 97.2 kg along the route Podolsk (ZiO-Podolsk plant) – Novovoronezh (Novovoronezh NPP-2 construction site).
HP chamber-type heaters are designated to operate in regeneration system of К-1200 steam turbine unit, part of NPP power units VVER-1200. A total of four PVD K5-K6 vessels have been manufactured by the plant for the power generation unit of Novovoronezh NPP-2. PVD calls for a special transport mode as the vessel is pressurized.
