The shipment is scheduled at 2018. According to the information from BP, the production on the new platform should start in 2021.
The project, which the Dresser company will ship the compressors for, is titled Mad Dog 2. It is one of the BP’s offshore projects in the Gulf of Mexico. In accordance with the plans of the company, the floating platform will allow producing over 140,000 barrels of crude oil daily. The number of production wells will total 14.
The Mad Dog field was found in 1998, while the production was initiated in 2005.
