Fluor received another EPC contract
Dominion Virginia Power made a decision to give their EPC contract to Fluor Corporation. As a part of the contract, the organization is to build Greensville Power Plant. The latest is a power plant, which is a combined-cycle, working on the natural gas-fired power. The new facility is planned to be located in Greensville County, the southern part of the state of Virginia (on the line of Greensville and Brunswick County).
According to the information obtained, the investment in the project totaled US$1 billion. It is also announced that the power plant constructed by Fluor would become the biggest and the most efficient in the whole state. The territory of the site totaled over 1,140 acres.
The capacity of the new power plant is hoped to reach 1,600 megawatts. The specialists want to finish the project by 2019.
It is said that Fluor is to fulfill the design work for the project from the department situated in Charlotte, the state of Virginia. DVP has already received all the necessary permissions for the fulfillment of the project.
