Today we would like to bring to your attention a small photo report from Ochakovskaya wind power plant site (Mykolaiv Oblast, Ukraine).

Its first unit was started up in October this year. And the first phase consisting of 10 units produced by German Fuhrlander and having 25 MW of total capacity was put into operation in the first decade of December. In future, the number of Ochakovskaya WPP units will be much more – from 100 to 150 – and the capacity of the whole industrial wind power plant will reach about 300 MW.

Load-in of the first batch of wind power units for the plant took place on jetty No. 3 (OOO Port Ochakiv). The cargo arrived at the port by two universal vessels flying the flag of the Netherlands (m/v EMUNA owned by Emuna Shipping C.V. and motor vessel DEO VOLENTE from Hartman Marine Group). The ships called at the port and berthed without any delays at a maximum possible draught under control of the State Port Supervision Inspectorate, with pilotage carried out by state pilots of SE Delta Lotsman.

Unloading of sets of FL2500 type wind turbines was ongoing simultaneously from two vessels by deck cranes of m/v DEO VOLENTE with the lifting capacity of 120 tons. Weight of each shipment was up to 1,000 tons, including pieces of cargo weighing up to 68 tons and measuring up to 51 meters in length.

The General Contractor for the wind farm construction is ZhilPromStroy-8, Mykolaiv. Pile driving is done by Perspektiva company. Heavy equipment transport was handled by Dealex Odessa in cooperation with Novorossiysk Port Terminal; installation was performed by Felbermayr, Austria.
