In spite of the drought and shallowing rivers, the heaviest load in the post-soviet history arrived at Ufa river port. The weight of arrived transformers is 350 and 310 tons. In the last few years, oversize freight has been a major spotlight in the river industry activities. The Port of Ufa has a convenient geographical position: this is a unique extreme river point letting the cargoes get beyond the Urals to Siberia and other regions.
Upon reloading, the received transformers travelled by rail to the final destination – Troitskaya GRES under construction in Chelyabinsk Oblast.
Previously, the transformers for the power unit No. 10 (under construction) with the capacity of 660 MW had been delivered to the branch construction site OAO OGK-2 – Troitskaya GRES. Total weight of equipment is about 200 tons. The transformers are intended for power supply of auxiliary electrical installations of the new power unit.
Railway transport is used to carry the items from PRC to Troitsk. More than 18,000 tons of the “power island” accessories have been received at site throughout the year.
