Modern living conditions encourage us to continually improve our knowledge and skills. The technology of automation of production processes did not become the exception. Over time, the mechanical gears have become too cumbersome and chains – heavy; the frictional forces of flywheels and shafts are unacceptably large. It was necessary to create a drive capable of carrying out all the tasks imposed on it while being compact and easy to install and operate. Such a transmission system was the hydraulic drive.
Since mechanical processes are still present to some extent, a product of friction and wear, dust, and sediment are formed in the hydraulic system. To solve this problem, special industrial filters have been introduced, which purify the working fluid from various mechanical impurities for the stable and continuous operation of all components of the system. As the connection lines of all these devices, high-pressure hoses are used, which are rubber hoses with a metal mesh frame inside, which can be stretched for quite considerable distances. Also in this design, there is a device capable of accumulating energy of the liquid when the energy is redundant, and give away when it is needed. This device was called a hydro accumulator.
As a gas resource, mainly nitrogen is used and never – explosive gases, such as oxygen. With a small change in pressure in the liquid cavity of the accumulator, the gas is compressed only slightly. In this case, to maintain pressure in a narrow range, the variable volume of the accumulator may not be sufficient for the working process. In order to change the volume to a lesser extent, the change in pressure is influenced; the gas cavity of the accumulator is increased by connecting an additional receiver to it.
It should be noted that each manufacturer has its own connections to the gas cavity. It should be remembered that, since nitrogen accumulators are devices operating under pressure, they must have a safety certificate for the country in which it is applied.
